Clown is a general term dating back to Harleqinns and Fools. That is a Pagliacci.

Saw the re-booted Carrie last night.

No John Travolta or Nancy Allen therefore was a total disappointment.

Re: Stephen King's IT
No Travolta is a bonus surely?

Re: Stephen King's IT
I'm talking later 'Pulp Fiction' Travolta.

Can the mods please switch the Alan Partridge icon to the referee thread, and the Pennywise the clown icon to this thread?

It's really doing my head in.

The book is very, very good but the original film didn't do it justice,

I just hope the remake is a lot better.Same goes for The Stand.

Re: Stephen King's IT
the stand is a great book. the Walking Man is a classic character. the progenitor of Anton Chigurh.

Re: Stephen King's IT
Original miniseries was due to be ten hours and included much more from the book but studio cut the budgets and people walked.
In the end it's still memorable but yes, the book is better.
New make up for Pennywise looks impressive.
Apparently Will Polter was fantastic but all the delays have now caused recasting.
Keep an eye on movie web and Empire for more updates as it could be good. Apparently two movies, one as kids then the return as adults.

Good book, but Salem's lot is better and the mini series was one of the scariest things I'd ever seen as a kid .

Look at me teacher ! *shivers*

Agree with Jac. Noth IT and the Stand were very good books but major let downs as gilms.

Re: Stephen King's IT
Original of 'Salems lot is great but still deviates significantly from the book.
However, the remake was goddamned awful!
